Walt Bussells
Walter Bussells is the Executive Vice President and Chief
Financial Officer for GreenPointe Holdings, LLC, and is President
of GreenPointe Pathways, the infrastructure development division
that creates innovative infrastructure solutions to improve
sustainability in the fields of transportation, liquid utilities
and energy.
Bussells is an expert in finance, utilities and land development
infrastructure with nearly 30 years experience in the electric and
liquid utilities industries. He served as CEO for the Jacksonville
Electric Authority (JEA), a $1.5 billion annual revenue utility
providing electric, water and wastewater to Northeast Florida.
During his 30-year tenure at JEA, Bussells led the rapid,
technologically advanced growth of the company to facilitate the
growing demand of needs in the Jacksonville region. Under Bussells'
leadership, JEA received numerous local, regional and national
awards for environmental leadership, customer service and financial
strength.
In 2007, Bussells partnered with Ed Burr and since that time,
they have raised more than $300 million for real estate investments
and homebuilding in the Southeast. In addition, GreenPointe
Pathways is investing in technologically advanced infrastructure
companies in the Southeast and providing consulting services to
companies developing infrastructure essential for large-scale real
estate development.
Bussells believes in giving back and continues to serve the
community through civic service, including serving as the Chairman
of the Northeast Florida United Way, Chairman of the YMCA of
Northeast Florida, and Chairman of the Cornerstone Economic
Development Division of the Jacksonville Regional Chamber of
Commerce.
