Giving Back

The only thing we at GreenPointe Holdings are more proud of than the communities we build, is the difference we help make for our communities. We are honored to be associated with incredible organizations like The Monique Burr Foundation for Children.

The Monique Burr Foundation for Children is a nonprofit organization founded in1997 by Edward Burr in honor of his late wife, Monique Burr, a devoted child advocate. Continuing her legacy, the Foundation's mission is to make a positive impact on the community at large, to create change in a family's life for the better, and to give hope in the life of a child by providing prevention education that is relevant to issues facing children today.

The Foundation is dedicated to protecting children from maltreatment and exploitation by providing prevention education programs, collaborating with partner organizations, and engaging communities in child safety initiatives through awareness efforts and resources. The Foundation provides MBF Child Safety Matters™, a practical series of prevention education programs created by the Monique Burr Foundation for Children in consultation with national experts.

These programs educate and empower children and adults with information and strategies to recognize, prevent and respond appropriately to the most common types of victimization experienced by children and teens, including bullying, cyberbullying, child abuse, relationship abuse, exploitation, and digital dangers. Elementary school, middle school, and after-school editions are available.

The Foundation is a founding member of the Child Sexual Abuse Prevention Coalition of Northeast Florida (CSAPC). The coalition offers Darkness to Light's "Stewards of Children," an adult child sexual abuse prevention program, and the only nationally-distributed, evidence-informed program that teaches adults to prevent, recognize, and react responsibly to child sexual abuse.

Lastly, The Foundation educates the community about child safety and prevention issues through events, a blog, social media, online training, resources, and a mobile app, "Child Safety Matters," available free through the App Store or Google Play.

The program is made possible through donor support so that every child in every school throughout the state of Florida can receive this safety training at no cost to the school. Donate at https://mbfchildsafetymatters.org/donate/.
